So for the past month and a half or so, I've been desperately looking for a job (mainly so I can have enough monies for awa >.>).  I've been getting pretty discouraged, considering the fact that I've been applying at a bunch of different places, been through multiple interviews and with no luck.  But then today I had an interview at this candy shop/factory called Cranberry Sweets, and they hired me on the spot. XD  The best part is that they have absolutely no problem with me taking 2 weeks off for my AWA trip. I asked the lady that interviewed me straight up if it would be possible, and she was just like, 'yeah, write down the dates and I'll put it on the calender.'

I swear, things couldn't have worked out more perfectly. It's full time, so I'll have plenty of monies by the time AWA rolls around (zomg, less than a month til I leave :o), and I even get a pound of free candy and stuff every paycheck, haha.  Plus, working at a candy factory sounds like it's going to be pretty kickass. And the stuff they sell there is sooo good. XD 

So yeah. This is what I've been waiting for all summer, and it feels really good to know that I'll be financially set for AWA.  I've been really worried that I wouldn't be able to find a job, so this is a huge load off of my chest.  It makes me even more excited for September (if that's even possible). I don't know if I've ever looked forward to something quite as much as this trip.

...and yaaaay, Skype isn't ded anymore. XD
